Decolonization of Education critically examines the colonial mindset of modern education through Munir Jamil Fasheh’s life experiences and his educational work in the Palestinian context. While questioning structures such as curricula, assessment systems, and university rankings, the course places at its center the innate nature of learning, contemplation (tafakkur), ijtihad, and local and Islamic knowledge traditions such as mujāwara. It offers an alternative understanding of education that reconnects learning with wisdom, ethics, and social meaning, rather than treating it as a merely technical process.
